Seggiano sources artisan Italian foods from small producers — pestos, sauces, soups, oils and preserves made in small batches rather than on a production line. The range includes Organic Chilli Basil and Golden Lentil Soup. Free UK delivery on orders over £40 from Quickvit.
Seggiano works with small Italian producers, often single farms, and brings their food to the UK largely unchanged. It is the opposite of a supermarket own-label Italian range: fewer products, made properly, priced accordingly.
Ingredients lists are short and the provenance is usually named on the jar — which region, sometimes which grower. Much of the range is organic.
The pestos and sauces are the best known, including chilli basil, made with proper quantities of the ingredient that gives them their name.
Soups such as golden lentil and 15 vegetables come ready to heat, and there are olive oils, vinegars, preserves and antipasti alongside.
We have sold speciality Italian foods since 1988 and keep the less common lines rather than only the pesto.
Free UK delivery on orders over £40, with orders placed before midday Monday to Friday aimed for same-day dispatch.

Pestos are best stirred through pasta off the heat rather than cooked, which dulls the basil. Loosen with a spoonful of the pasta water rather than more oil.
Once opened, keep jars in the fridge and use within the period stated on the label. A layer of oil over the surface of an opened pesto helps it keep.
FAQ
Is Seggiano organic?
Much of the range is, shown on each jar. Not everything, so check the individual product.
Are the pestos vegetarian?
Some contain cheese and some do not. Check the individual jar, as vegan versions are labelled.
How should I use the pesto?
Stirred through hot pasta off the heat, loosened with a little pasta water. Cooking it dulls the flavour.
How long does an opened jar keep?
Refrigerate after opening and use within the period on the label. Covering the surface with a little oil helps.
Where is it made?
In Italy, by small producers. The region is usually named on the jar.
