Can I take vitamin K if I am on warfarin?
Not without speaking to your GP. Vitamin K affects blood clotting, which is what warfarin and similar anticoagulants control, so this genuinely needs medical advice first.
What is the difference between K1 and K2?
K1 comes mainly from green vegetables. K2 is the form supplements concentrate on, usually as MK-7, which remains in the body longer.
Why is vitamin K sold together with vitamin D?
Because they are involved in the same process of directing calcium in the body, and most people taking one want the other. Plain vitamin K products are available too.
The amounts look very small. Is that right?
