Giesen's Pure Light range offers wines with maximum flavour but less alcohol and fewer calories. Their Merlot, at 6% alcohol by volume, is 50% lighter in alcohol compared to the standard Giesen Merlot. Using advanced technology, they reduce the alcohol content while preserving flavour. Ripe plum and blackberry notes combine with sweet baking spice and toasty notes on the nose. The palate displays layers of dark berry fruit and vanilla from French oak aging, supported by fine tannin which gives the wine structure and a long dry finish.
