Sicily’s climate suits organic growing: long dry summers mean lower disease pressure in the vineyard and less need for intervention. The Wine People work with family growers across the island and bottle under several labels — Fedele, Purato and Santa Tresa among them.

The whites lean crisp and citrus-led, the reds soft and fruit-forward rather than heavily oaked. If you are new to the range, the Fedele Organic Rosé is an easy start, while the Santa Tresa Frappato Spumante is a sparkling red worth trying if you want something different.

Are The Wine People wines organic?

Most of the range is certified organic, grown without synthetic pesticides or herbicides. Certification is shown on the individual product page, so check there if it matters to you for a particular bottle.

Are these wines vegan?

Many are, but not all — some wines are fined using animal-derived agents. The product page states this where the producer has confirmed it. If you need certainty on a specific bottle, call us on 01323 928523.

Do you sell alcohol to under-18s?

What grapes should I start with?

For whites, Catarratto and Grillo are Sicily’s signature varieties — dry, citrusy and food-friendly. For reds, Nero d’Avola is the classic, with Frappato lighter and more aromatic.
