A good decaf is one where decent coffee has had the caffeine removed, rather than one where decaffeination is covering for beans that were never worth drinking – and that difference is entirely down to what the roaster starts with.

Whole bean, so it will grind for anything from espresso to cafetiere, and the kilo bag is the one to buy if the whole household has moved to decaf. Keep the bulk sealed and decant as you go, since a kilo takes a while to get through.
