A Rwandan single origin from Maraba, sold as whole bean.

Maraba sits in Rwanda's Southern Province, one of the country's better known coffee districts. Rwandan coffees in this style are generally washed, which tends to give a cleaner, brighter cup with noticeable acidity rather than the heavy earthiness you get from Indonesia.

Single origin means it comes from one place rather than being blended into a house style, so that character actually comes through. Being whole bean, grind it to suit your kit – coarse for a cafetiere, medium for filter or pour-over, which is where this sort of coffee usually shows best.
