Wild forest coffee from Yayu in Ethiopia, sold as whole bean.

Yayu is a forest region in south-western Ethiopia and a UNESCO-designated biosphere reserve, where coffee grows in the shade of the forest rather than on cleared plantation. Ethiopia is where arabica originates, so a forest coffee like this is about as close to the plant's wild form as you can buy.

Ethiopian coffees are generally associated with a lighter body and a more floral, tea-like character than you get from South America or Indonesia. Whole bean, and a medium grind through a filter or pour-over is where this style tends to show best.
