Udo's is a blend of seed oils – flax, sunflower, sesame and others – combined to a particular ratio of omega 3 to omega 6. That makes it suitable for vegetarians and vegans, which fish oil is not.
Worth understanding: plant omega 3 is ALA, which the body converts to the longer-chain forms found directly in fish oil, and that conversion is not especially efficient. Neither product is simply better; they are different.
The 250ml liquid is much better value per serving and is the format the blend was designed for. It goes on food – salads, porridge, into a smoothie – but it must not be heated, which destroys the point of it.
Capsules are the answer if the taste or the routine does not suit you. They cost more per gram of oil, which is the price of the convenience.
This is the important part with the liquid. It is a delicate oil, sold refrigerated, and it belongs in the fridge once opened and used within the weeks stated on the bottle.
If it smells sharp or bitter, it has turned and should go. If you take anticoagulants, ask your GP before starting any concentrated oil.
