Should I take probiotics or enzymes?
Probiotics are live bacteria taken daily over weeks; enzymes are taken with a meal to help break food down. Different jobs, and plenty of people use both.
Do probiotics need refrigerating?
Some do and some are shelf-stable - the pack is explicit, and anything chilled is packed for it when we ship. Shelf-stable does not mean lower quality.
Can I take a probiotic with antibiotics?
Many people do, spacing the two a few hours apart and continuing after the course ends. Your pharmacist can advise on timing for the specific antibiotic.
How long before a probiotic does anything?
Manufacturers generally suggest allowing a few weeks of daily use. It is a cumulative thing rather than something you judge after a couple of days.
