Should I take supplements with food?
Vitamins A, D, E and K are fat-soluble and absorb better with a meal containing some fat. Iron is usually taken away from tea, coffee and dairy. Otherwise follow the pack.
Can I take several at once?
Usually, but add up the totals – the same vitamin often appears in both a multivitamin and a single supplement. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, on prescribed medication or managing a diagnosed condition, check with a pharmacist or GP first.
What does no fillers or binders mean?
Most mass-market tablets contain bulking agents, flow agents and coatings that make them cheaper to press. Viridian leaves them out, which is a fair part of the price difference.
How long until I notice anything?
It depends on the nutrient and whether you were short of it. Iron is typically reviewed after about three months with a blood test. Supplements fill gaps in a diet rather than produce a quick effect.
